The Legend of Southern Boyz

While sitting on the beach late one night at Thunder Beach in Panama City, a Southern Boy named Hollywood mentioned that Southern Boyz typically start their friendships off by fighting and then end up becoming best friends for life....remembering that is is exactly what happened in my (Chip's) life with one of my best friends, the true story of Southern Boyz was born.

Southern Boyz

On The Nancy Creek Bridge standing toe to toe
Two Black Eyes and two Bloody Noses
Neither Southern Boy was gonna give up ground
Some pride was lost but a friendship found
We'd fight over girls, and fight over cars
Come to fisticuffs in them Buckhead bars
Fight over smokes and fight over dopes
But hang with our brother till the end of our rope
And after the fight, we'd drink all night
Tell dirty lies by the pale moon light
With a REBEL YELL yell we'd make some noise
Friends till death are them Southern Boyz

Well our Mama's used to woop us when we'd come back home
Torn up and bleeding in our brand new clothes
But they'd clean us and feed us and put us to bed
And kiss the 20 stitches sewn in our heads
We'd fight with our fists and fight with our teeth
Get pushed from the bridge into the water beneath
Come up swinging till both of us bled
But be blood brothers until we're dead
And after the fight, we'd drink all night
Tell dirty lies by the pale moon light
With a rebel yell we'd make some noise
Friends till death are them Southern Boyz

We'd fight over words and fight over beer
Fight over anything that we held dear
We'd fight over girls, and fight over cars
Come to fisticuffs in them Buckhead bars

And after the fight, we'd drink all night
Tell dirty lies by the full moon light
With a rebel yell we'd make some noise
Friends till death are them Southern Boyz
And after the fight, we'd drink all night
Tell dirty lies by the pale moon light
With a rebel yell we'd make some noise
Friends till death are them Southern Boyz
